This role ensures the reliability, scalability, and security of cloud-hosted systems while supporting ongoing operations, maintenance, and modernization initiatives.The Azure Administrator will play a key role in maintaining system performance and uptime, implementing infrastructure as code (IaC), and supporting continuous integration and delivery pipelines. This position requires a strong focus on automation, security, disaster recovery, and efficient resource utilization to ensure seamless platform operations and long-term sustainability.This position is contingent upon the successful award of a government contract and subsequent government approval.RequirementsDesign, implement, and manage Azure cloud environments supporting web-based applications and infrastructureMaintain high availability and performance standards for cloud-hosted systems, including production, backup, and test environmentsDevelop and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as ARM templates, Bicep, or TerraformConfigure and manage Azure networking components, including virtual networks, load balancers, firewalls, and connectivity solutionsImplement and enforce cloud security best practices, including identity management, access controls, and compliance requirementsMonitor system performance, optimize resource utilization, and manage cost efficiency within the Azure environmentDesign and manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions to ensure business continuityAutomate routine administrative and operational tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual interventionCollaborate with development teams to support CI/CD pipelines and application deploymentsPerform system administration tasks, including patching, updates, and configuration managementMaintain system documentation, including architecture diagrams, configurations, and operational proceduresTroubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across cloud infrastructure and servicesStay current with Azure services, features, and industry best practices to continuously improve the environmentRequired QualificationsCandidate must be a United States Citizen and present proof of Citizenship, if selectedBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field (Four (4) years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for a degree)Minimum of 5 - 8 years of experience in IT, with significant hands-on experience in cloud administrationDemonstrated experience designing and managing Microsoft Azure environmentsStrong experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., ARM, Bicep, Terraform)Experience with Azure networking, security, and identity management (e.g., Azure AD)Proficiency in automating tasks using scripting languages such as PowerShell, Azure CLI, or PythonExperience implementing backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutionsFamiliarity with CI/CD tools and processes (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)Familiarity with Linux (Ubuntu) operating systems, Apache HTTP ServerStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsDesired QualificationsMicrosoft Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert)Experience supporting high-availability, public-facing web platformsKnowledge of federal cybersecurity standards and compliance frameworksExperience with monitoring and logging tools such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application InsightsFamiliarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, AKS)Experience with cost management and optimization strategies in AzureStrong documentation and configuration management experienceExcellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical teamsExcellent communication, leadership, and organizational skillsNo recruitment agencies, please.Company Benefits: We take care of your well-being here at ZenPoint Solutions!
