Quality Control Technician

This is a full-time, hourly position, working Monday-Friday from 7am to 3pm and some Saturdays depending on the season. The position will come with a work truck, as you will spend 2 days at one location and 3 days at others in the area.Major Quality Control Tech responsibilities include:Obtains samples and performs tests, calculations and inspections of construction aggregate produced at our Colchester area operationsPrepare reports and maintain accurate records according to established proceduresAssists in the operation, maintenance and control of test equipment to ensure accuracy and precisionObserves all safety rules and keeps work areas and equipment clean and orderlyFill in at the scale house, when needed, including at neighboring work sites.The ideal Quality Control Tech candidate will have the following qualifications:Safety-FocusedStrong verbal and written communication skillsSelf-motivate, ability to work independentlyMust be able to work outside in all weather conditionsMust have valid Driver's License and good driving recordAbility to lift heavy samples up to 75 poundsWill be required to pass and/or maintain Certified Aggregate Technician training for ILDOTWhat You'll Get:As a member of the Central Stone team, you will get:Starting wage of $19 per hourHealth, Dental and Vision insurance with Flex Spending AccountEmployee Assistance ProgramPaid HolidaysPaid Vacation401k with company matchThis is a great time to join our team.
