Job Title: Project ManagerJob DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Fiber Installation & Splicing Project Manager to support our rapidly growing fiber operations in Northern Virginia. The focus will be on a 272-mile long-haul fiber project running from Ashburn to Manassas, VA. This role requires managing a major project end-to-end, coordinating subcontractor construction crews, and working with internal splicing and testing teams. The position emphasizes project execution, documentation, reporting, and customer interaction to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with schedule and budget.Responsibilities+ Manage a major long-haul fiber project end-to-end.+ Coordinate subcontractor construction crews and internal splicing/testing teams.+ Ensure project execution, documentation, reporting, and customer interaction.+ Maintain safety, efficiency, schedule, and budget alignment.+ Operate primarily out of the Manassas office with occasional field visits for safety reviews and issue resolution.Essential Skills+ Experience in fiber optic project management, telecommunications construction, and splicing.+ Strong working knowledge of fiber installation, splicing, testing, OTDR, and power meter testing.+ Experience managing large-scale, single projects valued between $5M and $8M.+ Ability to oversee subcontractor cable installation crews and internal teams.+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and experience with Smartsheet.+ Strong documentation, reporting, and data management skills.+ Clear and professional customer communication skills.Additional Skills & Qualifications+ Proven experience managing fiber optic installation and splicing projects.+ Understanding of OSP fiber deployment and long-haul testing.+ Ability to manage multiple crews, supervisors, and subcontractors.+ Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills.+ Ability to prioritize and execute in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.+ Willingness to work on-site in Manassas, VA.+ Ability to start within 30-45 days.Work EnvironmentThe role is primarily office-based in Manassas, VA, from Monday to Friday, with occasional site visits for safety reviews or project-specific needs. You will work in a collaborative environment, closely engaging with division supervisors and splicing teams. The operation is structured yet fast-moving, driven by real project demand, not speculative work.
