Data Analyst

Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive dashboards and reports using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and Looker to visualize key metrics and trends. Collaborate with business units to gather requirements, analyze needs, and translate them into effective data models and analytical solutions. Perform data extraction, transformation (ETL), and loading processes utilizing tools like Talend, VBA, Bash (Unix shell), and SQL databases such as Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle. Conduct detailed data analysis using R, Python, Excel data analysis techniques, and other analytics tools to uncover insights that inform strategic initiatives. Develop and optimize SQL queries for database management, query management, and reporting purposes while ensuring data accuracy and integrity. Support the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC) by analyzing requirements, designing data models, testing solutions, and documenting processes within an Agile framework. Assist in database design and management for efficient storage, retrieval, and integration of linked data across multiple platforms. Engage in business analysis activities by identifying opportunities for process improvements based on data insights. Create clear documentation including Visio diagrams for system architecture or process flows related to analytics projects. Work closely with cross-functional teams on dashboard development, project management tasks, and technical proficiency enhancements to meet organizational goals. Requirements Proven experience with business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker for dashboard development and reporting. Strong proficiency in SQL programming for database querying within SQL Server or Oracle environments. Hands-on experience with ETL processes using Talend or similar tools; familiarity with VBA scripting is a plus. Knowledge of programming languages including R and Python for advanced analytics tasks. Understanding of SDLC methodologies coupled with experience working within Agile teams to deliver timely solutions. Expertise in database design principles along with experience managing SQL databases and linked data integration. Ability to analyze complex datasets using Excel data analysis techniques combined with analysis skills in business contexts. Familiarity with software development lifecycle analysis for analytics projects to ensure scalable solutions. Experience working with reporting tools such as Visio for process mapping or system architecture documentation is advantageous. Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
