Laser Machine Operator

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Laser Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating laser engraving and cutting machines to produce high-quality products and sheet metal components. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The Laser Operator will ensure that all products meet stringent quality standards while adhering to safety protocols. Duties Set up and operate laser engraving machines to produce quality products. Set up and operate laser cutting machines to fabricate sheet metal parts according to specifications. Perform quality inspections of finished products using precision measuring instruments. Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting on laser equipment to ensure optimal performance. Utilize basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and adjustments during production. Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency. Follow all safety guidelines and protocols while operating machinery and handling materials. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with company policies. Experience Previous experience with laser engraving machines is preferred. Previous experience with sheet metal fabrication, press break operation or a similar manufacturing environment is beneficial. Experience in programming laser cutting machines or working with vectored artwork is an advantage. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings and specifications. Ability to perform quality inspections and utilize precision measuring instruments effectively. Other Attributes Must be comfortable with technology and computers, both touch screens and PC based applications. Excellent communication skills, must be comfortable interacting with a team. Machine programming and operation are necessary job functions. Must have experience or be teachable. Energetic, high ethical standards and solid work ethic. Attention to detail and safety oriented.
