While BDO prides itself on the Firm's work quality, it equally values work/life fit for its professionals, allowing them to focus on what's important to them outside the office.The Senior Associate, Transaction Advisory Services will be responsible for performing financial, accounting, and operational due diligence engagements.Job Duties:Analyzes target financial and operating results in the context of a proposed transactionPerforms industry, company, and technical accounting research from available resourcesConducts on-site and phone interviews with C-level personnel to gather information in support of the financial analysisIdentifies and proposes appropriate resolutions to critical issues related to the deal processCoordinates the relationship and information flow between BDO internal team members and target and/or clientDelivers high quality exposition to select sections of the due diligence reportContributes to the identification and pursuit efforts in business development opportunitiesOther duties as requiredSupervisory Responsibilities:* N/AQualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Education:* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, requiredExperience:Two (2) or more years of public accounting experience, in a financial assurance or transaction advisory services role, requiredOne (1) or more years of TAS experience, preferredExperience interacting and working directly with C-level personnel, preferredLicense/Certifications:* CPA, CPA candidate, or CA, preferredSoftware:* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, requiredLanguage:* N/AOther Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Strong verbal and written communication skills, specifically business writingAbility to interact with and adapt communication style to successfully convey messaging and objectives to all levels of managementCapable of initiating and maintaining solid relationships with all levels of client personnel, as well as utilizing network and industry relationships to identify business development opportunitiesCapable of working in a demanding, deadline-driven environment independently and within a team dynamic while effectively managing unexpected issues and/or questions in a professional mannerAbility to analyze large volumes of data to identify potential issues and propose the most appropriate resolutions within the context of the transactionAbility to maintain the highly confidential nature of target informationExcellent project management skills with the ability to produce quality work with an attention to detailStrong knowledge of technical accounting areas such as US GAAPAbility to travel as neededIndividual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.National Range: $85,000 - $115,000 Maryland Range: $85,000 - $115,000NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $85,000 - $115,000
