Micro-Cap Solutions is conducting a confidential search on behalf of a growing software company seeking a hands-on Controller to support day-to-day accounting operations and month-end close.This role is ideal for an accountant who enjoys working in a small, collaborative finance team and wants broad exposure across the full accounting cycle. The organization operates with a lean accounting structure, giving this role meaningful ownership across multiple areas of accounting.The company offers a stable, long-tenured culture, flexible work environment, and a strong focus on collaboration and work-life balance.The RoleThe Controller will support the company’s accounting and financial operations, working closely with finance leadership to ensure financial records remain accurate, timely, and well documented.The role will own or support key accounting activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and month-end close while helping maintain and improve accounting processes as the company continues to grow.This is a high-visibility role within a small accounting team, providing broad exposure to the financial operations of the business.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport day-to-day accounting activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entriesPrepare journal entries, accruals, and supporting schedulesPerform monthly bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliationsAssist with the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reportingManage customer invoicing and support revenue tracking for subscription-based agreementsMaintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentationMonitor vendor payments and ensure timely processing of invoices and expensesMaintain financial data and accounting workflows within the company’s ERP systemSupport internal financial reporting and management reporting packagesIdentify opportunities to improve accounting workflows and documentationAssist with budgeting, forecasting, and ad-hoc financial analysis as neededExperience & Qualifications4–6+ years of hands-on accounting experience, ideally in a small or mid-sized company environmentStrong understanding of GAAP and accrual-based accountingExperience supporting month-end close, reconciliations, AP, and AR processesNetSuite experience strongly preferredExperience with subscription or SaaS-style revenue recognition is helpfulHighly organized, detail-oriented, and process-drivenComfortable working in a small team environment with broad responsibilitiesStrong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teamsWork EnvironmentHybrid schedule - 3 days per week in officeCollaborative, long-tenured team cultureFlexible work environment with strong work-life balanceCompensation• Base salary range: $100k-$125k depending on experience
