Summary We are looking for a Team Lead with mechanical experience who also has experience in heavy-duty truck parts to join our Production Department. Incumbent will have strong knowledge of parts and how they interact, as well as experience utilizing rivet machines and hydraulic press in order to assist with training & proper use this equipment, in order to train and support the production staff. This is a hands-on role. Responsibilities Communicate daily team goals and deadlines to team members Provide a welcoming environment, promoting employee engagement for all new members including shadowing, and guidance on company policies and procedures, i.e., how to clock-in, etc. Train new temps and new direct hires; serve as de-facto mentor for the team Support training and coaching of current team members, and ensure associates work towards goals and objectives Support training and coaching of current team members, and ensure associates work towards goals and objectives Prepare hourly reports and coordinate / communicate results of daily workflow to Supervisor Communicate individual and team accomplishments to Supervisor to support positive reinforcement and growth Communicate all punctuality & attendance infractions and behavioral or performance issues to Supervisor Fill-in for members who are absent to ensure work gets done Maintain/update filing system, retrieving information as needed Ensure basic supplies are available at all times, working with office staff to replenish when needed Other responsibilities as required/requested Daily set-up and use of hydraulic press and rivet machines along with routine maintenance Ensuring the proper assembly/kitting of OEM and non-OEM parts Some welding as needed Hand Grinding; Also Grinding utilizing power equipment Order processing Maintain inventory for production parts Interact and problem-solving with staff and management Data Entry utilizing Excel Maintain spreadsheets in Excel.
