Accounting Specialist, Irving, TX (Hybrid)Immmediate need for an Accounting Specialist to support the Accounts Payable team. This position reports to the Manager of Accounts Payable PO Processing and supports AP operations using SAP S/4 HANA, Costpoint, OpenText Vendor Invoice Management, Outlook, Excel, and other accounting tools.The selected candidate will support Accounts Payable functions in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), company policies and procedures, disclosure statements, and government regulations.This is a 1 year contract, hybrid role requiring on-site work at the Irving, TX location, 2 days per week.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess PO-related invoices within SAP S/4 HANA and/or Costpoint systemsCommunicate accounting policies and procedures professionally and effectivelyManage multiple priorities while working independently to meet service delivery agreementsCollaborate effectively and maintain a continuous learning mindsetSupport month-end close activities and reporting requirementsAnalyze and resolve invoice posting issues using strong problem-solving skillsPerform additional duties as assignedBasic QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent with 4+ years of related experienceExperience with SAP and/or CostpointAccounts Payable customer service experienceIntermediate Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word and OutlookStrong customer service and communication skillsExcellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask effectivelyPreferred QualificationsKnowledge of GAAP, CAS, FAR, and corporate accounting policies and proceduresExperience with OpenText Vendor Invoice ManagementSAP S/4 HANA experienceAdvanced Excel skillsSummit Federal Services, LLC is an equal opportunity employer regardless of race, color, religion, creed, sex, marital status, national origin, disability, age, veteran status, on-the-job injury, sexual orientation, political affiliation or belief.
