Print Production Planner
Job Summary
The Print Production Planner is responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimizing print production workflows from job entry through final output. This role serves as a key technical resource, ensuring jobs are accurately planned, efficiently executed, and aligned with both internal production capabilities and external vendor requirements.
The Print Production Planner applies a strong understanding of print and packaging processes to develop accurate impositions, evaluate proofs, and support packaging and dieline development. This position works cross-functionally with production, prepress, purchasing, and external partners to identify workflow efficiencies, manage inventory and purchase orders, and support cost-effective production outcomes.
Success in this role requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and the ability to perform accurately in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining a customer-focused approach to quality and execution.
Experience
Bachelor's Degree in a printing related field OR 5+ years of proven experience in print production planning or a related role within the commercial printing industry.
Strong knowledge of printing techniques, prepress workflows, color management systems, and layout design principles.
Proficiency in graphic design software including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator).
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills for coordinating between departments and clients.
General pay is $25 - $30/hr, depending on experience
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
