Electrical Quality Inspector IIIYulista is a fast-paced government contractor specializing in high-mix, low volume manufacturing. Electrical Quality Inspector III performs detailed receiving, kitting, shipping, or in-process inspection of products for compliance to the technical data package using appropriate gaging, tooling, or methods. Successful candidates will be flexible to dynamic work environments and tasks.This position has no supervisory responsibility.Desired Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesProficiency in IPC-J-STD, IPC-A-610, IPC-A-600, IPC-WHMA-620, and AS9102 First Article InspectionRequired QualificationsThis position requires a minimum of a High School diploma/GED(12) years Quality experience, minimum of twelve (12) years working with standards, policies and regulatory requirements (Government and/or Commercial)Preferred candidates will have experience of a minimum in one or more of the following qualifications: electrical, electro-mechanical, electronicsMaintain Certifications as required to perform dutiesMust be able to travel to Customers or Suppliers' locationMust be able to obtain and maintain a Government Security ClearanceEssential FunctionsPerform inspection on electrical components and assemblies utilizing applicable specificationsAbility to read and interpret complicated drawings, specifications, purchase orders, statement of work and standards to determine quality status; use precision measuring instruments, follow engineering orders and instructions, and interpret specifications according to inspection practicesAssists Quality team members or management with failure and nonconforming material data recording and reportingBe able to determine acceptance, rejection of materials presented for inspectionCompletes non-conformity and corrective action reports as requiredGood organization skills and Microsoft Office software to accurately document and maintain associated paperwork and inspection results in a consistent and timely fashionUnderstand regulatory requirements in reference to Counterfeit PartsFamiliarity with various specifications applicable to Defense products and material with reference to workmanship including checking Material Test Reports, Certificate of ConformanceMay provide guidance and work leadership to less experienced staff membersAbility to use measuring instruments for in-process inspection, ensure all measuring equipment used in the shop is working per its specific requirementIdentify and communicate continuous improvement opportunities for the quality program for customers internal and external.Independently perform comprehensive inspection of new, production, derivative and/or modified aircraft or ground vehicle raw material or completed components, for condition, conformity and documentation at shipping, receiving, acquisition, in-process or at final inspectionReview and approve locally developed procedures and solutions to complex repair situationsCoordinate with the Customer Quality Assurance Representative concerning quality matters, mandatory inspection points and final acceptance inspection of contract end items or servicesAssists Quality team members or management with failure and nonconforming material data recording and reportingMay assist in auditsOther duties as directed by the assigned SupervisionPREFERENCE STATEMENT Preference will be given to Calista shareholders and their descendants and to spouses of Calista shareholders, and to shareholders of other corporations created pursuant to the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act, in accordance with Title 43 U.S. Code 1626(g).EEO STATEMENT Additionally, it is our policy to select, place, train and promote the most qualified individuals based upon relevant factors such as work quality, attitude and experience, so as to provide equal employment opportunity for all employees in compliance with applicable local, state and federal laws and without regard to non-work related factors such as race, color, religion/creed, sex, national origin, age, disability, marital status, veteran status, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity, citizenship, genetic information, or other protected status.
