Assembly Manager

Primary Purpose:The primary purpose of the Assembly Manager is to lead the final stage of the manufacturing process, transforming individual components into finished, high-quality products focusing on integration, throughput, and precision. They will ensure that the assembly lines run at peak efficiency to meet delivery deadlines without compromising quality and safety.Experience:Ability to motivate the team, manage performance, and resolve issues.Problem solving and organizational skills.Excellent organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with team members, other departments, and management. Experience in training and supervising a team.Experience managing daily operations, ensuring production quotas and targets are met consistently.Ability to identify and resolve assembly delays or disruptions to maintain maximum throughput.Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing to drive process improvements and waste reduction.Record of enforcing OSHA safety protocols and maintaining high housekeeping standards.Assembly Manager Responsibilities:Managing the flow of the assembly line to meet daily and weekly output targets.Implementing inspection points to catch defects early, ensuring every finished unit functions according to customer specifications.Optimizing the distribution of tasks among workers and stations to prevent idle time.Supervising assemblers, providing training on assembly techniques, and managing labor schedules.Enforcing OSHA and Tongrun safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment designed to minimize repetitive motion injuries or accidents.Working closely with the warehouse and fabrication teams to ensure all necessary parts are staged and ready.Set productivity goals, conduct performance reviews, and handle disciplinary actions.Analyze production data and prepare regular status reports for senior leadership.Assembly Manager Requirements:3+ years experience in Production/Fabrication Managing or a related areaA track record of enforcing OSHA standards and maintaining a zero-incident environmentExceptional skills mentoring teams and effectively communicating production status to both shop floor team members and senior leadershipAbility to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and weld symbols to ensure parts meet specificationsFamiliarity with industry codes to maintain strict quality controlStrong attention to detail for monitoring key performance indicators and maintaining accurate production documentationStrong analytical and problem-solving skills along with conflict resolution skillsPossess a positive attitudeAbility to motivate & set a good exampleMaintain Tongrun values accordinglyBilingual a plus but not requiredKnowledge of safety/OSHA laws Pay: $70,000 - $100,000 per year, based on experienceBenefits:Health insuranceDental insuranceVision insuranceLife insuranceSTD/ LTD insuranceRetirement planPaid holidaysPaid time offThis document describes the general purpose and responsibilities assigned to this job and is not an exhaustive list of all responsibilities and duties that may be assigned or skills that may be required.
