Lead Solution Engineer
About the Role Solution Engineer in the Public Sector ECS Solution Engineering team, responsible for presenting solutions based on customer business and value drivers. The Engineer secures technical and functional wins by addressing requirements and eliminating objections across the sales cycle.
Responsibilities Understand customer goals and challenges and map those back to the Salesforce product portfolio.
Design, build, and demonstrate innovative solutions to address these challenges.
Present Salesforce technology infrastructure, including hardware, software, networking, and security stacks.
Participate in product, sales, and technical training and certifications to acquire and maintain necessary knowledge.
Attain quarterly and annual objectives defined collaboratively with management.
Respond effectively to RFIs and RFPs.
Actively participate in a fast‑paced high‑energy market segment and balance multiple projects in a team‑selling environment.
Qualifications Minimum five years experience as a Solution or Sales Engineer for a CRM company or similar technology.
Knowledge of related applications, relational database, web technology, and cybersecurity.
Solid oral, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work as part of a cross‑functional team to solve technical problems.
B.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or MIS.
Minimum four years of professional experience.
U.S. citizenship.
Preferred Qualifications Salesforce certifications (Administrator, Service Cloud, App Builder, AI Specialist, etc.).
Previous experience as a solution or sales engineer in the U.S. and/or Canada public sector or federal civilian industry.
Familiarity with Salesforce technology.
Familiarity with Government Cloud compliance standards and certifications.
Location McLean, VA, USA or Washington DC, USA.
Compensation Typical base salary range: $113,330 – $151,550 annually. For select locations, ranges may vary.
