SAP Data Migration Lead

Job Description:NTT DATA's Client is seeking a SAP Data Migration LeadData Migration Leadership & GovernanceLead full‐lifecycle data migration activities from Client/Prepare through Explore, Realize, Deploy, and HypercareDefine and govern the overall data migration strategy, approach, and roadmap for S/4HANA Greenfield programsAct as the primary data migration authority across business, functional, and technical teamsEstablish data governance, ownership, validation, and sign‐off frameworksPlanning, Execution & DeliveryDevelop and maintain data migration plans, cutover strategies, mock cycles, and load schedulesOversee data extraction, transformation, cleansing, reconciliation, and load activitiesLead multiple mock conversions, defect resolution cycles, and final production loadsCoordinate data readiness for integrated SAP cloud products (Ariba, SuccessFactors, IBP, SAC)Tools, ETL & TechnologyDesign and review data migration ETL mappings and workflows using SAP BODS or SynitiEnsure alignment with SAP S/4HANA data models, CVI, and SAP recommended best practicesManage data loads via Fiori Migration App/Fiori apps/IDocs/BAPIs/APIs where applicableMonitor and optimize data load performance and error handlingQuality, Testing & ReconciliationDefine and enforce data quality rules, validation checks, and reconciliation criteriaPartner with functional leads to validate business critical data (master & transactional)Ensure compliance with audit, SOX, and regulatory requirements during migrationSupport UAT, integration testing, and cutover rehearsalsStakeholder & Program ManagementCollaborate with business SMEs, SAP functional leads, integration teams, and system integratorsTrack migration activities, dependencies, risks, and issues in JiraProvide status reporting, metrics, and dashboards to program leadershipIdentify and mitigate data‐related risks proactivelyBasic Qualifications: (what are the skills required to this job with minimum years of experience on each)Core Experience10+ years of SAP data migration experience with multiple end‐to‐end implementationsProven leadership on Greenfield SAP S/4HANA global rollout programsHands‐on experience migrating from ECC and non‐SAP legacy systems to S/4HANAExtensive experience with multi‐country, multi‐currency, and multi‐language datasetsSAP & Cloud Product ExpertiseStrong expertise in SAP S/4HANA data structures, CVI, Business Partner, and Universal JournalExperience integrating and migrating data for:SAP AribaSAP SuccessFactorsSAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP)SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)ETL & Data ToolsDeep hands‐on experience with SAP BODS and/or Syniti ADMStrong understanding of ETL design, reusable mappings, and error handlingExperience defining data transformation logic, validation rules, and reconciliation reportsProject, Agile & Tracking ToolsMandatory experience using Jira for:Tracking migration tasks, defects, and dependenciesManaging sprints, backlogs, and releasesFamiliarity with Agile / Scrum and hybrid SAP delivery modelsAbility to manage parallel workstreams and tight cutover timelinesData & Functional KnowledgeStrong understanding of SAP functional domains:Finance (FI/CO)Supply Chain (MM, SD, PP)Procurement, HR, and PlanningAbility to translate business requirements into migration design and rulesLeadership & Soft SkillsStrong stakeholder management and communication skillsAbility to influence senior business and IT leadershipProven experience leading onshore/offshore teamsAnalytical mindset with strong problem‐solving skillsTravel: This position requires someone who can travel at least 80%.
