Structural Engineer

POSITION OVERVIEW Schneider Structural Engineers is seeking licensed structural engineers for shoring inspections at a long-term project in Northern Phoenix. This position offers an excellent opportunity for experienced professionals to contribute to one of the largest projects in the United States. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES * Conduct daily shoring inspections on an ongoing basis, maintaining strict adherence to project timelines and City of Phoenix requirements. * Document findings thoroughly and accurately, maintaining comprehensive inspection records and photographic evidence. * Coordinate and communicate effectively with project teams, contractors, and site personnel regarding inspection results and compliance status. * Work independently while maintaining professional standards and ensuring all observations comply with applicable building codes and project specifications. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering from an accredited institution * Current Arizona Professional Engineer (PE) license with Structural Engineer authorization * Valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation (mobile requirement) * Demonstrated professional experience with shoring systems, soldier piles, and tie-back installations * Hands-on experience with concrete inspection and field assessment procedures * Working knowledge of the 2024 International Building Code (IBC), Chapter 17 – Structural Design and Underground Construction * Familiarity with City of Phoenix Building Code amendments and local regulatory requirements * Ability to work independently, exercise professional judgment, and communicate findings to diverse stakeholder groups IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE We are seeking experienced structural engineering professionals with field inspection experience. This role is not suitable for recent graduates or candidates seeking casual work.
