Position Overview: Position Type: Locum Tenens Specialty: Internal Medicine - Cardiology Start Date: ASAP End Date: Ongoing Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours Plus Call Shift Type: One week per month EMR System: Epic Key Responsibilities: Coverage Dates: Begin ASAP and continue ongoing, with one week of coverage per month Practice Setting: Inpatient Patients Per Shift: 30 Bed In Department: 15 Office Hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Call Coverage: Backup call from hotel, 5:00 PM to 8:00 AM Rounding: Assigned patients, including inpatient rounding and post-op follow-ups Qualifications: Board Certification: Required Fellowship: Required Minimum Board Certification: Certified Licensure: Licensed in MD or IMLC Certifications Required: ACLS, ATLS, BLS Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 60 days Temporary Privileges: Available Hospital Stroke Certification: Yes EMR System: Epic Additional Details: Coverage Needs: Includes both scheduled clinical hours and call coverage Office Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Call Coverage: Backup call from hotel during off-hours Credentialing: Must complete credentialing process within 60 days and have a Maryland medical license This opportunity is ideal for a board-certified cardiologist who is adept at managing a busy inpatient service and is flexible with call responsibilities.
