Quanex is looking for a Plant Engineering Maintenance Manager to join our team located onsite in St. Cloud, Minnesota.The Plant Engineering Maintenance Manager leads the strategy, execution, and continuous improvement of all maintenance and asset reliability activities within a cabinet manufacturing operation. This role is accountable for maximizing equipment uptime, improving OEE, reducing unplanned downtime, and extending asset life through disciplined preventive and predictive maintenance, reliability engineering, and strong people leadership. The Maintenance & Reliability Manager partners closely with Operations, Engineering, EHS, and Supply Chain to support safe, efficient, and high-quality production.Salary: $105,000 - $125,000 annually, with bonus potential.Schedule: Monday - Friday, hours may vary depending on business needs and will be discussed during interview.We Offer You!Medical, dental & vision start the 1st of the month after hireMedical coverage featuring wellness incentives that may significantly reduce employee premiumsPTO, paid holidays & paid training - starts right away401(k) with company match & vestingEmployee Stock Purchase PlanLife insurance providedTuition assistanceWellness resources & onsite physical therapistSafety-toe shoes at no costFree fountain drinks and coffee during shiftsReferral bonusesSupportive, people-first cultureWhat's attractive about the Plant Engineering Maintenance Manager position?Will have an impact on the success of the company.Visibility and access to senior leaders within the company.Collaborative and Team-Oriented environmentWhat Success Looks Like: Own plant-level asset reliability strategy, ensuring high availability of critical production equipment.Lead reliability improvement initiatives targeting OEE, MTBF, MTTR, and schedule attainment.Implement disciplined maintenance planning and scheduling, coordinating closely with Production to optimize downtime.Lead, coach, and develop maintenance technicians, electricians, contractors, etc.Ensure compliance with all OSHA, NFPA, and environmental requirements, with particular emphasis on LOTO, machine guarding, and combustible dust controls.Own the maintenance budget, balancing cost control with asset risk and uptime requirements.Provide maintenance and reliability leadership for the new equipment installations, line expansions, and automation projects.Your Credentials:RequiredBachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, Reliability Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.8+ years of experience in manufacturing maintenance and reliability, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.Strong expertise in mechanical, electrical, and controls systems within industrial manufacturing.Proven experience improving equipment uptime, OEE, and maintenance cost performance.Hands-on experience with CMMS implementation or optimization.PreferredExperience in cabinet, furniture, wood products, or panel processing manufacturingFamiliarity with CNC woodworking equipment, finishing systems, and dust collection.TPM, CMRP, Six Sigma, or Lean certifications.Experience leading multi-site reliability initiatives.About Quanex, A Part of Something BiggerQuanex (NYSE: NX) is a global, publicly traded manufacturing company primarily serving OEMs in the fenestration, cabinetry, solar, refrigeration and outdoor products markets.
