Title: CNC OperatorLocation: Cleveland, OhioShift: 2nd shift Mon-Thurs, 3pm - 1:30amPay: $20-$22 an hourHire Type: Contract to hireOverviewThe CNC Operator is responsible for writing, adjusting, and troubleshooting CNC programs used to produce steel parts and rail. This role requires strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to ensure parts meet strict quality and dimensional standards.Job DutiesOperate assigned CNC machines including Johnford, Rockford, and VoortmanRead and interpret drawings and part specificationsVerify and adjust speeds, feeds, and offsets for optimal machining performanceMake necessary offset changes to maintain allowable tolerancesChange cutting inserts as neededInspect finished parts using measuring tools such as scales, calipers, micrometers, and fixed gaugesComplete inspection and production reports accuratelyClean machined parts to ensure readiness for assemblyReport tooling and setup issues to the supervisorMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmentFollow company policies and procedures, including punctuality and workplace conductQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentCNC multi-axis training and experience preferred3-12 months of CNC multi-axis machine operator experience preferredAbility to multitask and work with minimal supervisionAbility to read, write, and complete production documentation accuratelyAbility to read and use a tape measureStrong attention to detail and ability to inspect rail using measuring devicesQuality-oriented mindset and strong team collaboration skillsSolid understanding of safe work practices Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or genetic information.
