Phlebotomist

POSITION: Midnight in-patient phlebotomistLOCATION: Ann ArborCOMPENSATION: $17.50SHIFTS HOURS: 10:00pm-6:00am, 5 days and three of those days with be mandatory Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.POSITION OVERVIEWResponsibilities:- Perform venipuncture and collect blood specimens from patients- Label and properly store collected specimens for laboratory testing- Follow established laboratory procedures and protocols- Verify patient information and maintain accurate records- Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies needed for phlebotomy procedures- Adhere to safety and infection control policies and guidelines- Provide exceptional patient care and ensure a positive experienceSkills:- Proficient in laboratory techniques related to phlebotomy- Knowledge of clinical laboratory procedures and practices- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in specimen collection and labeling- Strong communication skills to interact with patients and healthcare professionals- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
