Field Data collection Specialist

We train!i2i is looking for bright, motivated, and passionate Field Data Collection Technicians to join our growing team.This position requires no previous experience and on-the-job training will be provided.Attention pipeline workers and utility locate technicians. This is a perfect transition into Telecom !The ideal candidate can expect to work independently or in very small teams traveling throughout the US andresponsible for collecting detailed technical information about electric utility and telecommunication facilitiesand equipment. This outdoor position requires hiking between utility poles, pedestals, and vaults to capturemeasurements, pictures, and other data that supports OSPE (Outside Plant Engineering) telecommunicationsrelated projects.RESPONSIBILITIES· Obtain work assignments, understand scope requirements, and travel to applicable work locations· Using provided tools, accurately collect required data and photographs per required scope· Operate and maintain issued equipment such as tablet computer, digital camera, measuring tools, andPersonal Protective Equipment· Provide accurate, legible, and complete information, before required due dates· Communicate effectively and on a daily basis with management and other team members· Work safely and independent of supervisionSKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS· High school diploma or equivalent (military or technical school is a plus) · Proficient in using various web and phone-based applications (Google Maps, MS Office, MS Teams, etc...) to communicate, get work assignments, find locations, enter information, capture photographs, and populate timesheet and expense related information · Must have a strong work ethic and emphasis on attention to details · Must be a self-starter with integrity and confidence who strives to achieve in even the most challenging environments with limited supervision REQUIREMENTS · Working outdoors in all types of weather and have the desire to actively participate in physically demanding work lifting 15 to 20 lbs on a regular basis · Must have reliable transportation and valid driver’s license · Maintain a high level of professionalism acting as a representative of i2i, our customers, and network owners · Ability to see clearly at short and long distances in a variety of lighting conditions · Team player with well-developed interpersonal skills who is comfortable in a cross-functional, multi-cultural environment EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE · High school diploma or equivalent (military or technical school is a plus) · While not required, Prior experience in Telecommunications or Electrical industry (is a plus) COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS Full-time employees enjoy various compensation components and company provided benefit packages, that start with: · Compensation o Base Salary (see above) o Per Diem (when applicable) o Bonus structure (tied to performance) · PTO (Paid Time Off) o Vacation, Holidays, Sick Time, Parental Leave, and Bereavement · Health and Wellness o 100% premium cost paid by company for Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance · Retirement o 401k savings plan with 100% matching up to the first 4%
