Work collaboratively with Global Category Sourcing team on supplier selection where regional or global suppliers are involved.Lead sourcing initiatives including RFx (RFQ, RFI) processes for assigned categories (Gaskets, Seals, Motors, Mechanical Systems, Pumps and Valves)Maintain and develop a qualified supplier base; conduct regular supplier performance reviewsCollaborate with cross-functional teams (Finance, Legal, Operations, R&D and Global Sourcing) on procurement needsIdentifying and Driving Cost reduction projects, Monitoring and tracking inflations with mitigation actions.Utilize procurement systems (SAP, Ariba) to maintain accurate pricing data and reportingParticipate in events for sourcing savings initiative development (e.g. Should Costing, Sourcing Kaizen, VA/VE tear down analysis, Supplier Innovation events, etc.).Monitor & log sourcing savings performance for projects in applicable applications.Monitor & address inflationary issues for BU and mitigation actions.Supply Chain Support of New Product Development and localization projectsKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIESIn-depth knowledge of strategic sourcing, supplier management and technical drawing reading.Ability to lead events for sourcing savings plan development (e.g. Should Costing, Sourcing Kaizen, VA/VE tear down analysis, Supplier Innovation events, etc.).Strong knowledge of purchasing, materials management, and LEAN principles.Strong knowledge of ERP Systems and Microsoft Applications (PowerPoint, Excel (strong proficiency), Word, Power BI) with ability to perform Spend data analysis.Knowledge of contract law, INCOTERMS, and international trade compliance, Strong knowledge of contractual terms & conditions.Understanding of supplier capabilities and the marketplace.Excellent communication skills - logical and organized.Highly developed analytical skills with demonstrated creative problem-solving experience.An excellent team player, including the ability to effectively collaborate with key stakeholders and partners within a cross functional environment.You also will need to be willing and able to travel domestically and internationally up to 10% of the time.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEA Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain or related field.5 to 8 years of relevant strategic sourcing work experience in global manufacturing company.Experience in managing global spend in excess of $15M.Certification in Lean manufacturing methods is preferred.Exposure to international suppliers and commodity groups.Strong project management skillsCOMPETENCIESAligning Performance for SuccessFocusing and guiding others in accomplishing work objectives.Building a Successful TeamUsing appropriate methods and a flexible interpersonal style to help build a cohesive team; facilitating the completion of team goals.Building TrustInteracting with others in a way that gives them confidence in one's intentions and those of the organization.Coaching and Developing OthersProviding feedback, instruction, and development guidance to help others excel in their current or future job responsibilities; planning and supporting the development of individual skills and responsibilities.CommunicationClearly and succinctly conveying information and ideas to individuals and groups in a variety of situations; communicating in a focused and compelling way that drives others' thoughts and actions.
