Primary Therapist

Job Description Description:White Sands Treatment Center of Tampa is seeking a compassionate and experienced Therapist to join our clinical team. This role is ideal for a licensed (or license-eligible) clinician who is passionate about helping adults recover from substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders.As a Primary Therapist, you will manage a caseload of adult patients and provide high-quality individual, group, and family therapy. You'll collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary treatment team to develop treatment plans, complete assessments, and support patients through every stage of recovery.Requirements:Facilitate therapeutic groups weekly and develop group curriculumComplete biopsychosocial and chemical dependency assessmentsCreate and maintain treatment plans and clinical documentation within 24 hoursConduct family contact and family therapyParticipate in treatment team meetings and discharge planningMaintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical recordsAssist with crisis de-escalation and incident reporting as neededQualificationsMaster's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related human services fieldMinimum 2 years of experience in substance abuse and mental health treatmentLicensed or license-eligible in the state of Florida (LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, CAP, or equivalent)Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skillsKnowledge of Joint Commission standards and patient confidentiality laws
