We are seeking a highly skilled Alarm Management Engineer to be the subject matter expert responsible for optimizing alarm systems within a major LNG operating facility. Your expertise will play a vital role in enhancing operator effectiveness, ensuring regulatory compliance, and advancing process safety through innovative alarm management solutions on the Honeywell Experion platform.What You Will Do:Configure and manage alarm settings within the Honeywell Experion System to optimize operator interface performance.Implement advanced alarm features such as Alarm Shelving, Dynamic Alarm Suppression, and Alarm Tracker to minimize nuisance alarms during process disturbances.Lead rationalization projects aligned with API RP 1167 and ISA-18.2 standards, ensuring comprehensive fire and gas detection safeguards.Utilize Honeywell Alarm Performance Optimizer to identify and remediate "bad actor" alarms, achieving 80%+ reductions in overall alarm counts.Coordinate alarm strategies across integrated systems, including SIS, PLCs, tank monitoring, and SCADA architectures.Generate detailed alarm analytics and reporting to monitor system health and track incident lifecycle.Required Skills:Strong experience configuring and managing alarm systems within Honeywell Experion or similar platforms.In-depth knowledge of alarm management standards such as ISA-18.2 and API RP 1167.Proficiency with Honeywell Alarm Performance Optimizer or equivalent alarm analysis tools.Hands-on experience with advanced alarm features like alarm shelving, suppression, and tracking.Ability to coordinate across multiple control and safety systems to ensure integrated alarm strategies.Nice to Have Skills:Experience with fire and gas detection systems.Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements in the oil & gas or LNG industry.Knowledge of process safety management (PSM) frameworks.Prior experience in asset management and alarm lifecycle improvement projects.Preferred Education and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Process Automation, or related field.Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in alarm management within the oil & gas, LNG, or process industry.Other Requirements:Valid/Current TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) is mandatory.This is a 6-month contract position with the potential for extensions up to 1-2 years.Ability to work on-site at the LNG facility and collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams.If you’re ready to leverage your expertise in a challenging and rewarding environment, take the next step in your career and apply now.
