Field Supervisor Security Officer
Job Description
The Field Supervisor is responsible for managing guards and staff that protect Halo's contracted client properties and persons as well as ensuring the safety and compliance with client premises.Responsibilities:Creation and management of bi-weekly officer schedules for assigned clients and officers under command and filling coverage gaps as needed.Available to cover shifts that are open on any day, at any time, at any locationEnsure assigned officers complete state mandated annual refresher training.Train Security Officers on specific client assignments to secure properties or their peopleSupervising the daily operations and uniform compliance of security officers working at the assigned locations/sites during their respective shiftGenerate/Create/Update post orders for each site, make sure all orders are on site and easily accessibleInvestigate incidents, customer complaints, employee issues, etc.Delegate authority and assign responsibilities in accordance with site Post Orders.Ensure that all shift reports are submitted for each shift. Each report should be reviewed for accuracy and completenessConduct weekly site visits to check on assigned officers and building / maintain internal and external relationshipsWhen performing site visits, account for all Halo equipment ensuring all items is present and operational. (i.e. Key fobs/Radios/Vehicles/Vehicle Keys/Body Cams/Computers etc.)Supervisory patrols should be performed in a marked Halo Security Vehicle which is picked up and returned daily when availableMonitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rulesAppropriately communicate issues and concerns to company leadershipManage schedules, shifts, fill-ins, overtime, etc. with client/employer budget restraintsAttend all mandatory trainings and meetings scheduled for supervisorsCommunicate all site activity, issues, schedules, etc. to Regional ManagerLead BY EXAMPLE and motivate team to aspire to grow with the companyQualifications A Permanent Employee Registration Card (PERC) at time of hire or be exempt in accord with Illinois law. Successfully pass the pre-employment background investigation and online assessment. Must have transportation to get to & from jobsite - (REQUIRED) High school diploma or GED required You must own vehicle and have the ability to travel to any city-wide site locations using your own vehicle Must possess valid Illinois Driver's License Must be dependable with strong attendance record in past work history. Impeccable attendance and punctuality Must be flexible Be at least 18 years of age with high school diploma or equivalent Basic Level of Physical Fitness, but not limited to, guards must be able to stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time, have strong eyesight, with or without corrective lenses; may need to climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift, swiftly navigate from one area to another, react quickly to emergencies, and employ tactics to remove individuals from the premises. Communication skills, including written, interpersonal skills, non-verbal with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the public in a professional and effective manner Basic computer skills.
