About the Role:
As the Area Director of Sales & Marketing, you'll spearhead the sales initiatives for our two Candlewood hotels in South Carolina. Your mission is to attract business from all market segments, optimize the hotels' positioning, and exceed revenue, market share, and other goals in rooms, groups, meetings, and banquets.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive Sales Success: Prospect and solicit new and existing accounts to surpass revenue goals through phone calls, outside sales visits, site inspections, and written communication.
Innovative Marketing: Lead all sales and marketing efforts creatively, providing strategic vision for maximum sales generation and revenue growth.
Efficient Communication: Prepare timely correspondence, maintain booking reports, and manage databases effectively.
Achieve Ambitious Targets: Adopt a professional approach to new business calls to increase revenue and profit.
Team Collaboration: Foster a positive, sales-focused attitude across departments and maintain open communication with team members and brand representatives.
Engagement and Networking: Participate in daily business review meetings, pre-convention meetings, training, and other sales-related gatherings. Attend trade shows, community events, and industry meetings to enhance relationships and market awareness.
Requirements:
Experience aligning sales strategies with senior management
Background in a corporate/business environment
Excellent negotiation skills with a proven track record in new business acquisition
History of increasing revenue through lead generation at both hotel and organizational levels
Expertise in developing and implementing successful sales strategies
Proven success in achieving sales goals
Professionalism, service-focused approach, and enthusiasm for success
