Branch Lending & Operations Representative The Branch Lending and Operations Representative is responsible for processing a wide range of financial transactions for customers, selling negotiable instruments, cross-selling Bank products and suggesting possible services, answering questions, and handling all preparations for customers to begin receiving services. This position assists loan officers by performing administrative duties involving the processing of business and consumer loans.Essential duties and responsibilities include:Opening new accounts including checking, savings, CDs, IRAs and other products offered by the bank.Responsible for opening all consumer and business accounts and services.Preparing new loan requests to submit to loan processing, reviewing the loan file to verify that data is complete and meets established standards.Ordering supporting documentation.Processing draw requests / loan payments / transfers.Preparing loan package for shipping and booking.Providing assistance entering loan information into the loan origination system.Responsible for tracking and monitoring of all required documentation.Closing and funding loan.Reviewing completed LOM for accuracy.Providing assistance in clearing collateral / credit exceptions.Submitting LOM to loan ops.Pulling maturity and past due reports.Referring new business to company subsidiaries, such as insurance, mortgage and brokerage.Following up on referrals made by other team members.Assessing customer needs and cross selling appropriate products and services.Resolving customer concerns and ensuring effective and long term problem resolution.Providing ancillary services such as notary services.Responding to customer inquiries relating to products, rates and services.Supporting and contributing to the attainment of branch goals.Managing telephone inquiries promptly and professionally to ensure friendly and efficient customer service.Maintaining positive, friendly and professional attitude and appearance.May be required to work an alternative location within the region or market.The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.Completing required BSA/AML training and other compliance training as assigned.Performing any other related duties as required or assigned.Qualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.Education and experience: Knowledge of a specialized field (however acquired), such as basic accounting, computer, etc. Equivalent of four years in high school, plus night, trade extension, or correspondence school specialized training, equal to two years of college, plus 12 to 18 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Communication skills: Ability to read and understand documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with customers, clients, general public and other employees of the organization. Ability to read, analyze, and understand general business/company related articles and professional journals; ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.Mathematical skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.Critical thinking skills: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.Software skills required: Intermediate: 10-Key, Accounting, Spreadsheet, Word Processing/Typing. Basic: Alphanumeric Data Entry, Contact Management, Database.Working conditions: Periodically exposed to such elements as noise, intermittent standing, walking, pushing, carrying, or lifting; but none are present to the extent of being disagreeable.Environmental conditions: The following work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing essential functions of this job.
