If you're looking for a collaborative, people-centric environment where you can make a difference in the lives of others, you'll fit right in.If you want to be a part of an award-winning practice, please review the responsibilities and qualifications needed below.Responsibilities:Acquaint yourself with all new and established patients, providing plan/setting expectations for visit and guide patients to examination roomsAssist the physician with documentation of the patients' medical recordAccompany the physician into the exam room to transcribe the history of the examination as given by the patient and the physicianUnder the direction of the physician, transcribe the impression and plan, results of tests, prescriptions, and ordersDocument and aid in any procedural set that may be performed by the physicianDocument all history and testing information accurately and consistentlySummarize all exam details from physician into patients' electronic chart, including but not limited to: proper charting of examination, additions to chief complaint, physician assessment and recommendations for treatmentOther duties as assigned or directed by your supervisorRequired Qualifications:Experience as a Medical Scribe is required. Ophthalmology and retina experience preferred.You should be able to communicate professionally, be comfortable working in a medical environment, be highly organized, have a strong customer service background, possess excellent computer and organizational skills, and champion a welcoming/friendly demeanorKnowledge of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Medical TerminologyWorking knowledge of eye anatomy, retina disease, and ocular medicationsBasic to advanced computer skills requiredStrong written and verbal communicationPreferred Qualifications :Associate Degree or higher/ equivalent working experienceSalary : $23.00 - $27.00 per hour, depending on experienceBenefits :401(k)401(k) matchingDental InsuranceFlexible spending accountHealth InsuranceLife InsurancePaid time offParental leaveRetirement planVision insuranceSchedule :Monday to Friday
