Acting Assistant Manager Of Health Through Housing InitiativeKing County's Department of Community and Human Services (DCHS) provides equitable opportunities for people to be healthy, happy, and connected to community.The Housing and Community Development (HCD) Division seeks an Acting Assistant Manager of the Health through Housing (HTH) initiative, providing coverage during leadership transition of the Division Director role. This position is short term, and will end when a Division Director is appointed and other staff in Special Duty Assignments return to their base positions. Candidates with close knowledge of the Health Through Housing initiative, experience supervising staff, and who have managed annual budgets greater than $5M are encouraged to apply. This role supports the Acting Manager of HTH in a broad array of operations of the initiative and supervises multiple program staff including contract management for supportive housing services, quality improvement, system partnerships, technical assistance to housing providers, and other service-related operations. This leader collaborates closely with internal and external partners and interest-holders to drive program excellence, assure compliance, advance strategic action, and ensure positive outcomes for formerly homeless individuals in supportive housing by developing service-rich environments where people can heal and thrive.This recruitment is open to current King County Career Service HCD employees who have passed their initial probation and will be filled as a Special Duty Assignment (SDA). This recruitment is to fill a Special Duty Assignment (SDA) that is anticipated to be five (5) months in duration, but subject to change dependent on business need.
