Accounting Supervisor

Essential Job Duties
Lead the monthly close process, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and on time
Post journal entries, including revenue and expense accruals
Perform thorough account reconciliations and audit subsidiary journals
Conduct margin and purchase transportation analysis to support decision-making
Generate and deliver accurate financial and management reports that drive business success
Create and manage agent general ledger and billing codes
Prepare and coordinate the revenue budget and oversee the remaining budget process
Handle 1099 tax reporting and ensure full compliance
Assist with financial and bank audit compliance, ensuring we meet all regulatory requirements
Uphold company policies and procedures, documenting and monitoring internal controls
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in an accounting/bookkeeping function
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field or equivalent level of prior experience
Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles GAAP
Demonstrated knowledge of auditing processes/practices
Basic computer skills
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel)
Demonstrated problem solving, analytical, and quantitative skills
Exceptional degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to multi-task and exercise independent judgement in performing tasks with minimal oversight
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
