It is in this context that we are looking to strengthen our team in Boston, Seattle and San Fransisco.  We’re growing our US Mechanical Engineering team :The role involves mechanical design, prototyping, and testing of subassemblies that integrate actuators, motors, and electronics into high-performance robotic mechanismsYou will collaborate with electrical and software engineers to bring mechanical concepts to life ; from CAD to bench testing to working robots What you’ll doDesign and develop mechanical systems for actuators, robotic joints, and assembliesPerform motor sizing, wiring layout, and thermal management for compact electromechanical systemsCreate detailed 3D and 2D designs using SolidWorks / PTC Creo, ensuring GD&T compliance for manufacturabilityParticipate in bench testing, validation, and iterative improvement of actuator and robot prototypesWork with manufacturing partners on aluminum die casting, machining, and assembly processesIntegrate sensors, motors, and control electronics within mechanical designsSupport automation and system integration during robotic builds What you bringStrong background in mechanical + mechatronic designDegree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Automation…5 years of hands-on design and prototyping experience in robotics or similar fieldsExperience with actuators, motion systems, and sensors Knowledge of thermal and wiring constraintsHands-on mindset, you like bench testing and iterationProficient with SolidWorks / Creo / GD&TYour adventure at Kickmaker  At Kickmaker you’ll work on 5-10 projects annually, choosing from a wide range of industries : from robotics, medical devices, fitness tech, and automotive, to micro-mobility, beauty tech, sports exoskeletons, and AI-driven hardware.
