Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the kitchen by assisting in meal preparation and ensuring that all ingredients are prepped to the highest standards. This position requires a passion for food, attention to detail, and a commitment to food safety practices. The Prep Cook will work closely with our head chef and other kitchen staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences.
Responsibilities
Prepare and chop ingredients according to menu specifications, ensuring consistency and quality.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper storage of food items.
Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the highest standards of hygiene and sanitation.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other culinary tools.
Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
Requirements
Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary setting is preferred but not mandatory.
Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in meal preparation.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new skills within the culinary field.
