This role is critical to our commitment to animal welfare, biosecurity, and safety.Position ObjectiveTransport pigs in a safe, humane, and bio-secure manner between local barns in the Cando area.Key ResponsibilitiesLoad, transport, and unload pigs at multiple locations while driving safelyConduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the semi and trailer are road-readyHook and unhook trailers safely and efficientlyScrape woodchips from the trailer at the end of each dayFollow company animal welfare and handling standardsMaintain Transport Quality Assurance (TQA) certificationPromote a strong safety culture by following all safety policies and proceduresIdentify and report workplace hazards and unsafe conditionsUnderstand and follow all biosecurity protocolsCare for and properly use company vehicles and equipmentPerform other duties as assignedQualificationsLivestock transportation experience preferred (2 years ideal, but not required)Commercial Driver License (CDL) NOT requiredWork EnvironmentLoading and unloading animals inside trailersNoise levels that may require hearing protection in some areasPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand and walk 8-10 hours per dayFrequent bending, reaching, squatting, and kneelingFrequent lifting of 3-20 lbsOccasional lifting up to 50 lbs independentlyOccasional assisted lifting up to 100 lbsAbility to communicate effectively verbally and in writingWhy PIPESTONE?At PIPESTONE, we're committed to safety, animal care, and doing the right thing-every day.
