That's why we hire leaders who take ownership, support their crews, and set the standard on every jobsite.Job SummaryThe Grain Systems Superintendent is responsible for leading safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of grain system projects from start to finish. This role oversees production planning, crew leadership, equipment coordination, and field execution while working closely with Project Managers, Project Coordinators, Subcontractors, and Vendors.The Superintendent ensures materials and equipment are scheduled and available, crews are clearly directed and supported, and potential issues such as shortages, back orders, or site challenges are identified and resolved proactively. This position drives productivity across multiple projects while maintaining accessibility and strong communication with field crews to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to Summit quality standards.Duties / ResponsibilitiesLead and supervise grain system crews across multiple active projectsDevelop and maintain short- and long-term production schedulesCoordinate with Project Managers and Coordinators to ensure job readiness prior to mobilizationEnsure materials, equipment, and subcontractors are properly scheduled and availableProactively identify and resolve site constraints, back orders, or production challengesDrive budget performance through disciplined planning and cost awarenessMaintain high safety standards and enforce company safety policiesMonitor crew productivity and continuously improve efficiencyCoach and develop foremen into strong, effective leadersEnsure installations meet Summit quality standards with minimal rework or callbacksMaintain organized, clean, and efficient jobsitesPerform other duties as assignedRequired Skills / AbilitiesStrong leadership and crew management skillsResults-driven and budget-conscious mindsetHigh level of organization and schedule managementAbility to read and interpret blueprints and site layoutsCritical thinking and problem-solving skillsStrong written and verbal communication abilitiesAbility to adapt and overcome changing job-site environmentsWillingness to work extended hours (Potentially 50-60 per week during certain times of the year)Ability to work outdoors in all conditionsAbility to travel as neededEducation / ExperienceCDL Class A with Air Brakes (required)NCCCO Crane Certification - TLL (preferred)High School Diploma (required)5+ years industry experience in grain systems or ag construction3+ years experience as a Foreman or in Team LeadershipProven experience organizing and directing efficient construction plansExperience managing production strategies and driving jobsite performancePhysical RequirementsAbility to lift and handle heavy materialsAbility to work at heightsAbility to operate equipment safelyAbility to wear required PPEAbility to work in varying weather conditionsOur Benefits Package IncludesHealth, Dental, Vision, & Life Insurance CoverageHealth Savings AccountPTO and Holiday Pay401(k) with Company MatchCompany Clothing AllowanceShort- and Long-Term Disability InsuranceCell Phone StipendTravel Per DiemMonday-Friday Work ScheduleA company culture that is truly next to none!Our Core ValuesWe've Got Each Other's BacksFirst and foremost, we are a team.
