Workday HRIS Analyst
*The selected candidate must be local to our Westlake, OH office and have availability to work a hybrid schedule after training.JOB OVERVIEWThe Workday HRIS Analyst is responsible for the administration, maintenance, configuration, and optimization of our Workday HCM system. This role serves as a subject matter expert on Workday functionality, supporting end users, managing system configurations, ensuring data integrity, and partnering with HR and business stakeholders to leverage Workday capabilities that support organizational goals. The ideal candidate combines strong technical skills with business acumen and excellent customer service orientation.RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIESSystem Administration & ConfigurationAdministers and maintains Workday HCM modules including Core HCM, Recruiting, Talent Management, Compensation, Benefits, Time Tracking, and PayrollConfigures business processes, workflows, security roles, and custom objects in WorkdayManages system maintenance including security group assignments, calculated fields, and conditional rulesCreates and maintains employee lifecycle business processes (hire, job change, termination, leave, etc.)Coordinates Workday releases and updates, testing new features and functionalityMonitors system performance and proactively identify opportunities for optimizationMaintains system documentation including configuration guides, process flows, and standard operating proceduresData Management & Integrity Ensures data accuracy and integrity across all Workday modulesPerforms regular data audits and implement corrective actionsManages mass data uploads, imports, and exports using EIBs (Enterprise Interface Builder)Develops and executes data validation rules and error resolution processesCreates and maintains custom fields and data structures to meet business needsPartners with IT on system integrations and data feeds between Workday and other systemsSupports payroll processing through accurate data management and validationReporting & Analytics Designs, builds, and maintains standard and custom reports using Workday Report WriterCreates dashboards and advanced analytics to support business decision-makingResponds to ad-hoc reporting requests from HR and business leadersDevelops calculated fields and composite reports for complex data analysisTrains managers and HR team members on self-service reporting capabilitiesMaintains report inventory and documentationMonitors report usage and optimize performanceUser Support & Training Provides tier 2 and tier 3 support for Workday end users, managers, and HR teamTroubleshoots system issues and work with Workday Support when neededCreates and maintains training materials including job aids, quick reference guides, and video tutorialsConducts training sessions for new users, new hires, and system updatesSupports change management initiatives related to Workday enhancementsMaintain Workday knowledge base and FAQ resourcesResponds to user questions via email, phone, and ticketing systemProcess Improvement & Project Support Identifies opportunities to leverage Workday functionality to improve HR processesPartners with HR team and business stakeholders on system enhancement projectsParticipates in Workday optimization initiatives and best practice implementationStays current on Workday product roadmap and new feature releasesSupports annual processes including performance reviews, compensation planning, and benefits enrollmentContributes to HRIS strategy and long-term system planningDocuments process improvements and measure impactOtherFollows assigned work schedule with regular and predictable attendancePerforms other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field, or Equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience2-4 years of HRIS experience, minimum of 2 years hands-on experience with Workday HCMExperience with Workday configuration, security administration, and business process designDemonstrated experience with HR data management and reportingExperience supporting HRIS implementations or system upgrades preferredExperience in financial services or regulated industry a plusIn person interaction that includes actively collaborating with colleagues and participating in team or company meetingsPROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONSWorkday Pro Certification in HCM or other modules preferredTECHNICAL SKILLSTo be successful in this role, you should have experience with and an understanding of the following:Required:Strong proficiency with Workday HCM core modulesExperience with Workday Report Writer and calculated fieldsAdvanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis)Understanding of HR business processes and data relationshipsExperience with data integrity and quality managementAbility to create and modify Workday security roles and groupsPreferred:Experience with Workday integrations (Studio, Orchestrate, EIB, Core Connectors)Knowledge of Workday Extend or BIRT reportingFamiliarity with SQL or other database query languagesExperience with other HRIS platforms (Dayforce, ADP, etc.)Project management experienceCORE VALUESOur core values are our foundation and the guiding principles we embody to support Equity’s mission.
