About IconicCareIconicCare is a physician-owned, physician-led healthcare company bringing rehab and medical care directly into skilled nursing, assisted living, and inpatient rehabilitation communities. Our physiatrists work shoulder-to-shoulder with care teams to restore function, reduce pain, and prevent the falls, wounds, and readmissions that derail recovery. We’re growing fast, and we build the back office the same way we build clinical care: with discipline, ownership, and a real bias for action. The OpportunityWe’re hiring a Senior Accountant to work directly under our Director of Finance and become a foundational member of the finance team during one of the most important growth phases in the company’s history. You’ll own meaningful pieces of close, audit, and tax support from day one — and as we scale, the path forward is real: Assistant Controller, then further. If you want to be a name on an org chart, this isn’t the role. If you want to help build the function and grow with it, read on.What You’ll DoMonth-end close. Drive journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and flux analysis to deliver an accurate, on-time close every period.Support external audits. Prepare schedules, pull supporting documentation, and act as a key point of contact with auditors.Partner on tax. Coordinate with outside tax advisors on federal, state, and local filings; help maintain clean records that make tax season a non-event.Strengthen the GL. Review and refine the chart of accounts, accounting policies, and close checklists so they scale with the company.Build the controls. Help design and document internal controls, SOPs, and review workflows in a true build-phase environment.Translate the numbers. Produce financial reports and variance analyses that the Director of Finance and leadership actually use to make decisions.Lead projects. Take point on system improvements, automation, and process upgrades across AP, AR, payroll interfaces, and reporting. What You BringBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience; healthcare, multi-site services, or a Big 4 / mid-tier audit background is a strong plus.CPA or active CPA candidacy preferred.Deep working knowledge of US GAAP and the full month-end close cycle.Hands-on experience supporting external audits and partnering with tax advisors.Comfort in a growing ERP environment (NetSuite, Sage Intacct, QuickBooks Online, or similar) and strong Excel chops.A builder’s mindset — you fix the broken thing, write the SOP, and don’t wait to be told twice.High attention to detail, clean communication, and the ownership to operate with limited supervision.Your Growth PathThis role is intentionally designed as a launchpad. Strong performance in the close, audit, and tax workstreams over the build phase positions you for promotion to Assistant Controller, with a clear runway into broader controllership and finance leadership as the company continues to scale. You’ll get exposure to the Director of Finance, leadership, auditors, and external advisors — the experience that actually moves a career forward. What We OfferCompetitive base salary commensurate with experience.Comprehensive benefits package — medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).Paid time off and company holidays.Direct mentorship from the Director of Finance and exposure to executive leadership.A real seat at the table during a critical growth phase — and a real path to Assistant Controller and beyond.
