Software Engineer
- Maintain and create software systems for the analysis, evaluation, and characterization of optical modules and systems
- Implement software for controlling laboratory systems include robots and sensors
- Design software systems to ensure proper data and metadata capture
- Design and implement software tests
- Engage in software reviews and guide software improvements
- Guide others in improving their coding skills
- Learn constantly, educate others, dive into new areas with unfamiliar technologies
Baseline Requirements
3+ years recent programming experience in C++ and Python.
Strong background in coding for the control of devices, especially robots and sensors.
Experience coding in a team environment using proper source control and code review processes.
Desired Skills
Candidates with experience in the following areas are of great interest:
- robot and sensor interfacing
- lab or factory automation
- experience with computer vision or image processing
- data science experience
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $55.00 - $65.00 per hour
