Job Title: Operations Production Student Staff - Open World Summer Workshops, Su26Reports to: Emily "EmJ" Collins, Operations ManagerWe are looking for temporary summer administrative Operations Production Student Staff to support the operational needs of our summer 2026 workshops. In addition to summer staff, there are five year-round Open World team members:Emily Kirby, VP of Open WorldDavid Robson, Director of Curriculum and InstructionDanny Samuels, Curriculum ConsultantBrittan Rosa, Assistant Director of MarketingEmily "EmJ" Collins, Operations Manager Before you apply, please review the following information: Summer staff must be available from June 8 - August 21, 2026Staff training: June 8 - 18, 2026 (hours may fluctuate between 30 - 40 hours a week during training, so financially plan accordingly)Workshops: June 22 - August 21, 2026 for all staffLocations: DigiPen Institute of Technology (Redmond, WA), Cascadia College (Bothell, WA)Hours fall between 7:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., but schedules may vary depending on specific responsibilities and location (40 hours max)Must a pass a criminal background check and 5-panel (non-THC) drug screenStudent hours for the temporary full-time position range from 30 to 40 hours per weekStudent hours for the temporary part-time position range from 15 to 18 hours per weekStudents taking summer classes are only eligible for the part-time position and must be available from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Monday - FridayWorkshops are held on-site at DigiPen and off-site at Cascadia College. You may be asked to work at either location. Transportation will be provided when necessary. This year, in addition to the full-time staff, we are hiring part-time staff to help with lunch. This shift will be from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. every day. Students taking summer classes will be eligible for this shift so long as it does not impede their class schedule. Students taking summer classes will not be eligible for the full-time shift.Essential FunctionsProvide administrative and operational support for all Open World workshops. This may include:Assisting with daily camper check-in and check-outFacilitating daily lunchtime proceduresKeeping classrooms stocked with necessary suppliesSetting up and taking down signageAssisting with the set up and production of camper activitiesAssisting with transportation of supplies between DigiPen's main campus and off-site workshop spaceBeginning-of-day setup and end-of-day cleanupHelping with camper pick-upAssisting with extended day program supervisionCommunicate with parents, campers, and teammates clearly and professionallyOther duties as assigned Qualifications Required Skills:Ability to work collaboratively within a teamStrong communication and organizational skillsAbility to engage campers; enjoys working with children and teensAbility to provide a supportive experience to all campers and adapt to changing camper support needs Bonus Skills/Attributes: Previous experience with K-12 studentsHas current CPR/first aid certificationStrong attention to detail Compensation $17.13 per hourReturning staff who have previously worked in K12 summer programs at DigiPen may qualify for up to $18.25 per hour. Not benefits eligible. DigiPen Student Employee Academic Requirements:Are currently a Matriculated student at DigiPen Institute of TechnologyGood Academic Standing - not on Academic Warning as defined in DigiPen Course CatalogA minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higherRequirement Exceptions:It is possible to still be selected for a position with DigiPen if you do not meet the requirements above, so don't let that dissuade you from applying!Once you have applied for - and the supervisor decides to offer you - a position, we will contact the necessary managers (Supervisor, Department Chair, and/or the Dean of Faculty) to complete and sign off on an Academic Waiver form, depending on which requirements need to be waived.
