Material Handler

Job Description We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Material Handler to oversee the safe, efficient movement and storage of materials within our facility. In this role, you will be responsible for receiving shipments, loading and unloading trucks, organizing inventory, and supplying production lines with necessary materials.Please make an application promptly if you are a good match for this role due to high levels of interest.The ideal candidate is physically fit, safety-conscious, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesLoad & Unload: Safely load and unload cargo from delivery vehicles and shipping containers.Inventory Control: Receive, verify, log, and organize incoming materials; report any discrepancies or damages.Production Support: Stage and deliver raw materials to production areas or assembly lines to maintain continuous workflow.Equipment Operation: Safely operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.Warehouse Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment in compliance with OSHA standards.Qualifications & SkillsExperience: 1–2 years of experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution environment (preferred).Certifications: Forklift certification is a strong plus (or willingness to become certified).Physical Stamina: Ability to stand/walk for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.Skills: Basic computer literacy for inventory tracking software; strong teamwork and communication skills.Traits: Dependable, detail-oriented, and highly focused on workplace safety.Marathon is an equal opportunity employerCompany DescriptionOur company enjoys longstanding stability, having been in business for over 30 years.
