Our student employees contribute high-quality workthat reflects our mission to educate informed citizens, thoughtful stewards, critical thinkers, andresponsible leaders.There will be 4 days of training (2 days in May and 2 Days in June) and the commitment is fourweeks June 21 - July 16.Rate of Pay: $16.45 per hourDates: Summer 2026Job DescriptionAs a result of serving as a TRIO/Student Support Services Summer Bridge Peer Mentor, students will be able to:Create and maintain a safe, healthy, and welcoming residential community by coordinating move-in and move-out, creating and posting door and hall decorations, and enforcing program and University policies and regulations.Provide academic support through evening study group activities, course research and learning assistance, and constructive feedback and guidance.Plan and facilitate study-break activities that actively engage participants.Foster a positive group environment for first-year students through respectful communication, a positive attitude, confidence-building, and providing assistance as needed.Collaborate and work effectively as part of a team to support a successful Summer Bridge experience.QualificationsMinimum GPA of 2.5Strong customer service skillsEffective communication and team-development abilitiesAbility to maintain private and sensitive informationAbility to work in a fast-paced and unpredictable environmentDesire to work in a flexible, team-focused atmosphereStrong sense of responsibility-and fun!Willingness to live in a residence hall during the Summer Bridge program (June 21-July 16; room provided)Willingness to complete other duties as assignedDesired QualificationsCompletion of Summer Bridge ProgramPrevious residence life experienceCurrent TRIO/SSS participantInvolvement and/or leadership in Augsburg co-curricular activitiesAdditional InformationAll student applicants must attach the following for consideration:ResumeCover Letter (optional)Augsburg University is an Equal Opportunity employer.
