Engine, Turbine, and Power Transmission Equipment ManufacturingCommercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment (except Automotive and Electronic) Repair and MaintenanceSpring and Wire Product ManufacturingOther General Purpose Machinery ManufacturingAmusement Parks and ArcadesKelly Engineering is seeking a Lead Mechanical Process Engineer to join one of our leading clients in the Engineering Services industry supporting power generation facilities.Please apply to learn more!Ideal Candidate:Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering / PE PreferredMinimum of five years of experience in the design and construction of steam and power generation plantsExperience writing equipment specifications for some of the following: pumps, material handling systems, ash handling systems, boilers, heat exchangers, air pollution control equipment, water treatment, compressed air systems, turbine generators and piping systemsLocation: This position would sit just north of Atlanta near Marietta/Kennesaw.Compensation: $130,000 - $160,000/yr (depending on experience, P.E., or ability to obtain)Responsibilities:Coordinate engineering for steam and power generation projectsEquipment sizing and selectionMaintain pipe line lists, valve lists, and piping specialty items listsDevelop heat and material balancesResearch other relevant codes and standards and interpret compliance with rulesMentor Junior Mechanical EngineersTravel to the field as needed throughout the duration of the project to review the designRequirements:Bachelor of Science in Mechanical EngineeringMinimum of five years of experience in the design and construction of steam and power generation plantsPE License (preferred)Specific experience working for an EPC firm involved in steam and power generation projectsExperience writing equipment specifications for some of the following: pumps, material handling systems, ash handling systems, boilers, heat exchangers, air pollution control equipment, water treatment, compressed air systems, turbine generators and piping systemsExperience with general arrangement (GA) drawings and P&IDsUnderstand piping materials of construction and stress analysisExperience in the design of piping systems meeting ASME Section 1, B31.1 or B31.3 piping codesExperience with package or power boilers, power boiler fuel-conversions, steam turbines, heat recovery steam generators, combined heat and power (CHP), and pellet millsExperience with detailed analysis and specification of water treatment systems a PLUS
