Lodi Creek Post Acute is located in Lodi, California. We are looking for a committed, caring, and reliable Speech Therapist, ST to join our in-house rehab team for our Skilled Nursing Facility! Job Title: Speech Therapist Facility: Lodi Creek Post Acute Facility Type: Skilled Nursing Facility Location: 321 W Turner Rd, Lodi, CA 95240 Position Type: PRN Department: Rehab / Therapy All new hire must be COVID-19 Vaccinated or have medical or religious accommodation before you start. ROLES / RESPONSIBILITIES: The Speech Pathologist will regularly evaluate, diagnose, and treat students with speech or language disorders, formulate individualized treatment programs, keep appropriate records, and inform faculty and parents about students' progress on a regular basis. Assesses the needs of pupils and matches them with programs available through the educational system. Discusses with faculty members their evaluations of students' skills as demonstrated in class performance and social interaction with other students. Suggests activities parents can do with their child to assist and supplement the student's speech therapy program. Attempts to add to their understanding of the program and answers questions and addresses concerns they may have about it. Talks with students to determine their feelings about the program or any frustrations they may feel about the therapy. Keeps current with professional literature and attends seminars on a regular basis to maintain and update professional skills. EDUCATION: Master's degree in speech pathology is REQUIRED Passing the Praxis exam, and completing your clinical fellowship, you'll apply for the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP). EXPERIENCE: A minimum of two years of experience working in the speech pathology field is PREFERRED. With Skilled Nursing Experience is PREFERRED Interest in working with geriatric population KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: Hearing ability sufficient to evaluate student's speech. Skill communicating verbally and in writing with students, faculty members, and parents so that all parties understand the program and the degree of progress being made. Must be able to read, write, speak, understand and communicate in the English language Full knowledge of resident rights Working knowledge of Medicare and other payer sources Is able to practice unencumbered Exudes professionalism in presentation Ability to multitask LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: California license to practice Speech Pathologist is REQUIRED BLS and CPR Certification is REQUIRED Is in good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards is REQUIRED PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
