The Wastewater Laborer will perform various tasks to support the wastewater treatment facility’s day-to-day operations, including maintenance and repair of equipment, upkeep of facility and plant grounds, monitoring system performance, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and assisting in the proper treatment of wastewater. Must be available for 24 hour emergency call outs and mandatory weekend rotation.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED requiredPossession of a valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a CDLStrong attention to detail and mechanical aptitudeAbility to work independently, as part of a team, and communicate effectively across shiftsWillingness to work on-call and in varied environmental conditionsExperience with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systemsAbility to operate tools and heavy equipment safelyStrong communication skills with both the public and coworkersPhysically be able to lift 50+ pounds and perform manual tasksWilling to work extended hours and respond to emergencies as neededBenefits of Employment Health insurance: Annual cost is $400 for single, $800 for employee + children, $1,000 for employee + spouse, and $1,200 for family coverage per year.
