Travel Special Education Teacher - Lovingston, VA

A travel opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher located in Lovingston, VA. This role involves working with high school students requiring specialized instruction and support as outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). The position offers an engaging classroom experience with a manageable caseload in a dynamic school environment.Key Responsibilities:Provide specialized instruction tailored to the unique needs of approximately 16-18 high school students with IEPs.Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans in collaboration with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.Assess student progress regularly and adjust teaching strategies to ensure successful learning outcomes.Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student growth and engagement.Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and administration to support student success.Qualifications:Active or in-progress Virginia teaching license with a Special Education endorsement is required.Experience working with high school students in a special education setting is preferred.Strong knowledge of special education laws, classroom accommodations, and teaching strategies.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Ability to manage and maintain a caseload effectively.Hours and Duration: This is a travel position based in Lovingston, VA. The work schedule consists of 8 hours per day, from 7:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m., starting as soon as possible.
