Facilities Services Technician
Corteva Agriscience is seeking a Facilities Service Technician to support operations at our Johnston, Iowa site. This role is responsible for the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of critical building and plant systems that support research, laboratory, and greenhouse operations.Please note:No visa sponsorship for this role.No relocation for this role.What You'll DoOperate and maintain building systems including boilers, chillers, air handlers, water treatment systems, and building management systems (BMS)Monitor alarms, respond to system issues, and perform troubleshooting and repairsPerform predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance to ensure equipment reliabilityTake equipment readings and perform system analysis (boilers, cooling towers, DI/RO water)Interact with scientists, lab staff, contractors, and facilities teams to support operationsEnter, track, and manage work orders using a computerized maintenance systemFollow safe work practices including energy isolation, confined space, and permit processesSupport continuous improvement using Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) principlesIncludes on‐call driving responsibilities during designated weeks, such as campus snow removal, parts pickups, and responding to service calls at nearby remote locations within a 10‐mile radius.What Skills You NeedHigh school diploma or GEDHands-on experience with building systems (mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, refrigeration)Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and technical manualsStrong troubleshooting, multitasking, and communication skillsProficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel; able to learn new systems quicklyValid U.S. driver's licenseLegal authorization to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship available)Required to be on call for campus for four (4) spread out weeks in a year to work on call for campus.
