Microelectronics Integration Engineer

To support progress across our industry, we provide state-of-the-art components and vertically integrated infrastructure for others to build on via Science Foundry.We are looking for a hands-on Microelectronics Integration engineer to support development of our next-generation medical implants. You will focus on heterogeneous integration to develop mass-transfer processes, integration and packaging schemes, and test methods that prove out the devices you build.Role responsibilities:Develop, optimize, and qualify microelectronic mass transfer processesDevelop substrate integration processes including bonding, interconnect formation, and packaging of devicesExecute accelerated lifetime testing on integrated devicesExecute in-process metrology and failure analysis for integrated devicesKey qualifications:Hands-on experience developing mass transfer, heterogeneous integration, and/or die attach processesHands-on experience with thin-film processing and cleanroom microfabricationHands-on experience with reliability testingStrong collaboration and communication skillsPreferred qualifications:Experience with implantable devicesExperience with packaging and encapsulation materialsExperience scaling a process from R&D through pilot or productionSalary/Pay Range:Science is required under California law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. We determine your level based on your interview performance and make an offer based on the indicated salary band. The base salary range for this full-time position is $130,000-190,000 annually + equity + benefits. Within the range, individual pay is determined by several factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
