Systems Engineer

Overview At Two Six Technologies, we build, deploy, and implement innovative products that solve complex security challenges. As a Systems Engineer focused on Implementation, you will lead technical implementations that safeguard critical data for our customers. Responsibilities Strategic Onsite Implementation: Architect and lead technical deployment strategy within client environments, owning installation, configuration, and integration. Technical Bridge & Collaboration: Drive collaboration between our internal product team and the customer, translating complex technical requirements into production realities. Identity & Access Integration: Coordinate integration of identity solutions for seamless interoperability with client authentication systems. Repeatable Pattern Development: Design and document repeatable implementation patterns and “Configuration as Code” templates to ensure consistent, scalable deployments. Cross‑Functional Troubleshooting: Navigate complex organizational structures and troubleshoot technical hurdles across multiple teams to deliver the product. Infrastructure Management: Work fluently within IaaS environments, leveraging Linux expertise to optimize performance and stability. DevOps Advocacy: Apply modern DevOps practices to the implementation lifecycle, promoting automation and continuous improvement. Qualifications Independent Driver: Self‑starter who operates with minimal supervision, managing deadlines and taking personal responsibility for implementation success. Strategic Influence: Provide expert technical guidance that carries weight with internal developers and external stakeholders. Integration & Diplomacy: Exceptional ability to work alongside diverse technical teams (Network, Security, SysAdmin) to solve problems in onsite environments. Pattern‑Oriented Mindset: Drive toward developing repeatable, automated patterns rather than one‑off fixes. Linux Mastery: Deep knowledge of Linux operating systems, performance tuning, and security hardening. Infrastructure as a Service: Proven experience deploying and managing resources in cloud or virtualized environments. Configuration as Code: Proficiency with tools such as Ansible or Terraform to manage configurations. DevOps Practices: Working knowledge of CI/CD, Git, and automated testing as they apply to product implementation. Nice to Have PKI & Encryption: Experience with x509/PKI standards, certificate authority management, and cryptographic troubleshooting. Identity & Access / LDAP: Familiarity with LDAP and integrated identity solutions (e.g., SailPoint, Okta, ForgeRock). Education & Experience • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field. • 5+ years of experience in technical implementation, systems engineering, or product development, with a clear track record of successful onsite delivery in complex environments.
