Title- Finops EngineerDuration- 12+ monthsLocation- Irving TX/Chandler AZJOB DESCRIPTION:We are seeking a skilled FinOps Engineer to drive financial accountability, optimize cloud spend, and improve forecasting across our technology organization. This role provides hand on technical leadership for the FinOps function, focused on driving efficiencies, embedding cost accountability into engineering workflows, and leveraging automation and AI assisted insights to reduce technology spend at scale.The role partners closely with Architecture, Engineering, and Finance to ensure cost is treated as a first class operational and design consideration.Must Have Qualifications6-10+ years of experience in cloud, platform, or infrastructure engineeringHands on experience with Azure and GCP cost management, billing models, and optimizationExperience managing and optimizing on prem or hybrid infrastructure costsProven FinOps experience delivering:Application level cost visibility, allocation, and chargebackIdentify optimization opportunities (rightsizing, reserved instances/savings plans, storage lifecycle, architectural efficiencies).Budgeting, forecasting, anomaly detection, and variance analysisMeasurable cost savings and efficiency improvementsStrong automation and engineering capabilities, including:Scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash, or equivalent)Building automated guardrails, alerts, and remediation workflowsAI assisted FinOps automation experience, such as:o Using AI driven insights or anomaly detection to identify inefficiencies and spend riskso Automating cost insight generation, recommendations, or remediation actions• Experience implementing tagging, allocation, and governance standards at scale• Ability to integrate cost controls into engineering pipelines and operational processes• Strong communication skills and ability to translate technical cost drivers into business impactEEO:“Mindlance is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate in employment on the basis of – Minority/Gender/Disability/Religion/LGBTQI/Age/Veterans.”
