Are YOU ready to join the FFH Family?We are seeking a driven, detail-oriented Intern to serve as a bridge between our corporateinfrastructure and our retail storefronts. This role offers a unique "360-degree" view of IT operations,where you will manage technical success for both our Muskegon home office and our expansivenetwork of retail locations. You will gain hands-on experience in remote troubleshooting, on-sitehardware deployment, the full project life cycle of retail technology, and the potential for an excitingcareer with Family Farm and Home.Essential Duties and Responsibilities includes but are not limited to:A. Hybrid Technical Support: Provide Tier 1 & 2 support for corporate office staff and retail storeassociates. This includes managing hardware (laptops, printers, POS terminals) and softwarevia remote desktop tools or in-person intervention.B. Retail Systems Maintenance: Ensure the stability of mission-critical store systems, includingEPICOR/Eagle POS, inventory scanners, and label printers, to minimize downtime during peakshopping hours.C. Infrastructure Deployment: Assist in the testing and rollout of new technologies across storelocations. Participate in the "Release Cycle," ensuring new software patches are vetted in asandbox environment before being deployed to the field.D. Incident Management: Utilize HaloITSM to track, prioritize, and resolve tickets. Maintain ahigh standard for KPIs, ensuring that both office and store requests are handled within definedSLAs.E. Network & Connectivity Support: Troubleshoot basic networking issues (Wi-Fi, VoIP, andwired connections) to ensure seamless communication between retail branches and thecorporate data center.F. Stakeholder Collaboration: Build partnerships with store managers and department heads toidentify recurring technical pain points and suggest creative, analytical solutions.What you'll gain:Technical Versatility: Mastery of supporting two distinct environments (Office vs. Retail) withdifferent hardware and urgency requirements.Professional Toolset: Experience in HaloITSM and specialized retail ERPs like EPICOR/Eagle.Project Management Skills: Exposure to large-scale hardware refreshes and softwaredeployment life cycles.Requirements:The ideal candidate will have a willingness to work in a customer-focused, team-oriented environmentand must possess patience, strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, and resourcefulness.Excellent written and oral communication skills are required, including the ability to provide cleardocumentation of work. Proficiency with Google Docs (including Sheets and Calendar) and basiccomputer troubleshooting skills and a basic understanding of networks (IPs, subnets, VLANs, DNS,DHCP) is essential. The position involves 50/50 office and field work, requiring extended periods ofconcentration and sedentary work. The work environment is subject to frequent interruptions andnormal office noise.
