Backed by recent acquisitions and expanding in-house materials capabilities, the company is scaling quickly and investing heavily in next-generation IR solutions.Job DescriptionThis role reports directly into the VP of Engineering and is responsible for:Partnering with senior technical leadership to master advanced precision mold design principlesApplying a comprehensive internal mold design methodology aligned with lens geometry, glass types, and manufacturing parametersLeading the design and development of complex molds for precision glass lens productionDriving initiatives to enable larger-diameter lens molding through feasibility studies, prototyping, and validationCreating detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation for mold fabricationAnalyzing mold performance data and implementing design improvements to enhance quality and efficiencyTroubleshooting complex molding challenges and developing robust technical solutionsMentoring engineers and contributing to organizational knowledge in precision mold designSupporting new product introductions with innovative mold solutions meeting demanding optical requirementsMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
