Security Officer

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires strong observational skills, the ability to respond effectively to incidents, and a commitment to upholding safety protocols. The Security Officer will play a crucial role in preventing loss and ensuring the safety of the premises. Responsibilities Monitor and patrol assigned areas to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity. Operate and maintain surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems, to ensure comprehensive coverage. Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies, taking appropriate action as necessary. Conduct regular inspections of buildings and grounds to identify potential security risks. Enforce rules and regulations while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times. Provide assistance in conflict management situations, utilizing de-escalation techniques when necessary. Document incidents and prepare detailed reports on any security-related issues or breaches. Collaborate with law enforcement agencies as required during investigations or emergencies. Participate in ongoing training programs related to first aid, CPR, loss prevention, and other relevant certifications. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; additional security training or certification is preferred. Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is an asset. Knowledge of surveillance techniques and loss prevention strategies. Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure. Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable. Excellent observational skills with attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
